The terrain on our 700 acre ranch is one that we are very proud of, offering our clients a true northern Michigan hunting experience. Taking a trip around Cards Draw is like taking a trip into the past when nature was big, wild and undisturbed. And also, of course, back when monster bucks roamed at their will! There are big open fields to meandering streams, tall stands of pines to some of the most beautiful soft and hardwood trees you will find anywhere in the Mid-west. What ever type of backdrop you like to hunt in, odds are you will find it here at Cards Draw.

Our whitetail herd is the pride and joy of Cards Draw. We have intensely managed our herd for over 16 years and we can honestly say that the bucks that we produce speak for themselves. If a monster buck is not in the budget for this year, we offer our clients some outstanding management hunts. Taking a management buck out of the herd accomplishes three things. First, it allows our clients another style of hunting. Second, it allows us to manage our herd so that only quality bucks are allowed to breed. Third, they are all around fun and exciting hunts. Since we enjoy making new memories with our clients, we know that every time that rifle goes off, a great new memory has just been made. After a successful day in the woods, heading back to the lodge to share stories around the campfire gives us another opportunity to get to know our clients.

There is no doubt about it, our favorite time here at the ranch is during the rut. We put our hunters right in the middle of some of the most exciting whitetail action imaginable. Getting up close and personal with these majestic animals is exactly what you will experience here at Cards Draw. Watching two big bucks “go at it” is as exciting as it gets. It seems this time of the year we start to see the really big bucks appear everywhere. With 700 acres, we don’t always know exactly where these whitetail deer reside, but we are sure glad to see them make their appearances.

This season is shaping up to be even better than last and we sure are extremely excited about what lies ahead! Because of the strict management of our herd, we will be taking very few trophy hunters, so openings fill up fast! We would like the opportunity to show you whitetail hunting at its best.
